Wunderkammer, 18 Mar 2010 11:03 pmWhenever I See the Word "Egyptology" - I can't help but expect to see Zahi Hawass' leonine head to pop up from a tomb somewhere and grin delightedly from beneath the brim of his Indiana Jones hat. Anyone who has watched more than one documentary about Egypt knows what I'm talking about. He is totally my historian crush; why, if he were forty years younger...don't judge me!
Haha. Happy (Belated) St. Patrick's Day, the one day on which everyone can claim to be of Irish ancestry! I'm actually almost 50% Irish on my Mom's side, but my father certainly isn't. He is primarily French, of the food-snob variety, and yet is the only one of my immediate family to demand -- and subsequently enjoy -- corned beef and cabbage. It's...a mystery. But we aren't here for my dad's culinary foibles (or my strange obsession with Dr. Hawass); we are here for WUNDERKAMMER!
HEY IS THAT A NEW FONT? Yes, yes it is. I downloaded it off the internet and everything. Thoughts? I think I like it; but that may just be because I combed through so many fonts that I got fed up and finally settled on anything, haha! I was trying to find something with the personality of "Andy," but without the boldness; this might still be too heavy and dark. Curses! Next time!
In other news, I GOT ACCEPTED TO THE CENTER FOR CARTOON STUDIES o(^▽^)o I'll be earning a Master's Degree, so my parents are not entirely scandalized, haha! So starting in September I'll start learning about how to properly go about doing a project like this :B EIFNQOQEeiwoiwIWERNIONQR, I'm excited!
Shout out to my new peeps! Thank you so much, guys, for all of the feedback. I really try to take it to heart and ONE DAY! when I have more time, I will totally get around to writing another news post of comment responses D: (yet I had time to write this huge thing?)
See you next week!

My history knowledge is limited to the 19th century and the Heroic Age of Antarctica. But I'm always willing to learn! posted by ninjakitties on 22 Mar 2010 02:40 am |
