Fancy Meeting You Here? - ...

...

...so. I might as well have died, for all that I've been doing here D: I must offer my most heartfelt apologies for disappearing for 14 days without offering any explanation. So here's a belated explanation.

I AM OFFICIALLY APPLYING TO ART SCHOOL! 8D I fell off the face of the Earth because I've been working my butt off trying to get my application done on time, since I am so super awesome and didn't start looking into this whole process until most schools' deadlines have already passed :\

Anyway, I'm headed up to a portfolio day/open house in Vermont this Saturday, and then I turn 23 on Sunday, and THEN I'm going wedding gown shopping with my cousin up in Boston (for her benefit, not mine, haha). THIS IS GOING TO BE AN INTENSE WEEKEND, IS WHAT I'M TRYING TO SAY. Wish me luck!

Wunderkammer should be returning to our regularly scheduled programming next week, but in the meantime I shall try to tide you over with an in medias res page of one of my application requirements: a short comic starring myself, the ocean, a robot, a snowman, and a piece of fruit. In a weird twist of fate, the area of Connecticut in which I grew up has all of those things. Or would, if there had been robotic horse engines during the Gilded Age. Alas. Unfortunately, it totally ended up being an alternate history narrative of the Fisher's Island Sound area :< I cannot escape history!

I chose this page over the other six because the exploding horse makes me crack up. Why!?
