Wunderkammer, 12 Feb 2010 11:35 pm ( Reply )Seriously. Where are those cheeseburgers? - Late, I know! By eleven minutes, late! You would think that with an entire extra day to work on Wunderkammer (work having been canceled on Wednesday due to crazy blizzard times), this page would have been up on time and of slightly higher quality (don't look too closely at...well, everything .v.). But no. BUT NO.
LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT WEDNESDAY. I went to move my car to facilitate anticipated shoveling of the driveway, and there was a big fuely puddle of copious amounts of fuel. I experienced a most singular emotion, equal parts horror (my parents ROOMMATES are out of the country, and so could not offer advice; also, Michael Bay movies. 'Nuff said) and rage (I'd just topped off the tank the night before in anticipation of crazy blizzard times, and gas is not inexpensive in Southeastern CT).
FUN FACT. No one will tow your fire hazard leaking car without having you run it by the fire department first, because it's a fire hazard. So you have to call the fire department. Only you can't actually call the fire department, you have to call 911, said the guy at the fire department, who added they would suit up while waiting for the 911 dispatch call. WTF? Also, they sent three fire trucks, and the Fire Chief came in his truck. Again. WTF? Meanwhile, THERE WAS A BLIZZARD HAPPENING.
Long story short, I managed to get my car towed the shop. Then they called me to say the tank was too full of gas for them to remove it for repairs, so I have to go pick it up and drive it around until there's less than a quarter tank left. BUT I THOUGHT IT WAS A FIRE HAZARD? Someone is lying to me. Haha, shout out to my friend Mike, who patiently bore the real time, play-by-play account of this incident. I was, uh...pretty livid. And raised by sailors. You can put two and two together on that one :3
Thanks to everyone for your patience with these erratic updates D: And apologies to the new readers since I must be making a terrible impression, haha!
Hah. T^T
Amschel and Kristina are back starting next week!

I can honestly say I have never read any comic quite like this before. It is very good. If I would change one thing it would be word balloons and typesetting... they don't match the fluid, fully realized characters...like tacking post-it notes on posted by Red Rabbit on 22 Feb 2010 04:57 pm |
